A Great Story

Oh my – has it really been a month and a half since I posted? Where did November and December go?

My dad sent me a link to this story – it is worth the time to watch the short video. It touched my heart and restored some of my hope for this world:

  1. Oh, man, takes me back! Amy, I think I’ve told you this before, but my senior year of high school, that is exactly what happened at my high school. The two students from the special ed class who were nominated won…by a landslide. It was soooo awesome! Janna and I were the ones who took them to the pep rally where the court was announced. I knew ahead of time they had won (my friend on student council told me earlier that day), but I didn’t want to say anything until they announced it. You should have seen their parents’ faces when we dropped them off that night and told them they had won homecoming king and queen. Such a special, special weekend. πŸ™‚ This brought me right back. πŸ™‚ I still remember our homecoming king, Chip, a guy with Down syndrome, and the look on his face when I explained to him that they had announced he won! πŸ™‚
