They’ve cut back on Matthew’s pain medication, and he was looking at us, grabbing and playing with our fingers, and looking pretty good. He’s able to let his nurses know when he’s not happy, and they’re taking good care of him. We’re able to hold him, which feels great! He really wants to eat, but for now his intestines need to rest. They removed the NG tube in the evening – one more step toward recovery and eventually eating. They might let him start to eat a little bit tomorrow. We receive word that Amy’s grandfather has lung cancer . . . more prayers needed.
