11:24 AM – Off the machine

We just got a call that Matthew is off the heart-lung bypass machine.  He was on from 9:42 to 11:24, which is well under the 2 hour goal.  His nurse said he is doing really well, and now the difficult part is over and they are finishing up.  They still have X-rays and another echocardiogram to do, and then he will go upstairs to the PICU for recovery.  We should be able to see him in 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
